Eryl Dodson (aged 80 years) and her husband John have been retired at their home in Broadfields in Exeter for almost twenty years.

They have four children, seven grand children and three great grand children. Sandra who lives in Welshpool and has two children and two grandchildren.   They also have twins Gillian and Jane, Gillian lives in Auckland, New Zealand and has two children and Jane lives near Peterborough and has three children and one grandchild. Their son, Aidan lives in Perth in Western Australia.

For a long time Eryl had a problem with one of her large toe nails and it was when she was out visiting her daughter in New Zealand that she decided that she would get this sorted out.

“Although my toe nail had never caused me any problems it was very ugly and deformed and when I was in New Zealand visiting my daughter she kept on at me to get it sorted and so I promised that I would.”

By coincidence around the same time John saw an article in the local Express and Echo about the My Life, My Choice foot care service and so Eryl called to make an appointment.  At her first appointment she was referred to the NHS podiatry service to sort out the more complex problem with her big toe nail and then once that has been dealt with Eryl returned to the My Life, My Choice foot care service to have her toe nails cut and keep her toe nails fit and healthy.

Eryl now visits the clinic at Glass House Lane every six weeks and is really pleased with the service.

“I was very pleased with the clinic at the old hospital as quickly and easily they cut my old toe nail down to a reasonable size and now with the help of the My Life My Choice foot care service my feet are in tip top condition.  When I next visit my daughter in New Zealand she will be very proud of my lovely feet!”
